Google will close accounts that have been inactive for two years

Washington. Google has introduced such an important update, due to which users need to be alerted. It is learned that Google will remove accounts that have not been used or signed in for 2 years. Google has confirmed that Google will delete the inactive account and all its content such as Gmail, Docs, Drive, Meet, Calendar, YouTube and Google Photos. Google has told that the purpose of doing this is the safety of the users. It was told in the blog post that inactive accounts are not safe, and if there is even a slight tampering with such accounts, then the personal information of the users can be at risk.
Google has cited its internal report that inactive accounts are at least 10 times less likely than active accounts to set up two-step-verification. This means that these accounts remain vulnerable, and if hacked, the user's identity can be used to commit cyber crimes. It is important to note that the new policy only applies to personal Google accounts, and will not affect accounts of organizations such as schools or businesses. This policy of Google will be implemented with immediate effect, and Google will start deleting the account from December this year.
